Project description
Project: New milk reception
Client: Dairy company
Location: Netherlands
At this large dairy factory there was a need to be able to process more different milk flows. This was not possible with the current milk reception. It was also not possible to expand the milk reception at the current location. That is why the customer had the plan to build a completely new milk reception on an area that was still pasture. A complicating factor: there was a canal between the existing factory site and the intended new milk reception.
Lascon was already involved in the design phase of this project. Lascon carried out the pre-engineering and basic engineering for this project, both in the field of process engineering and 3D engineering. Lascon also received an order for the implementation. A great challenge, because the project is a mix of different disciplines: including the construction of two large pipeline bridges (one over the canal), the design of unloading and loading areas with specially designed cabinets, the construction of two product manifolds with platforms, the construction of a CIP set.
The project was executed according to plan. Filling and installing the pipeline bridge in several large parts was the most exciting in advance, but that also went according to plan due to careful preparation. The end result of the project has resulted in an impressive milk reception, a real eye-catcher. One of the pillars of the success of this project: a small and competent project organization with decisive decision-making. This worked very nicely, Lascon has complimented the customer for this.
