Project description
A new tank park with 40 tanks has been built at this margarine factory. This new tank park contains the first phase of a master plan, which enables this customer to be fully equipped for the long term with the demands from the ever-changing market.
Project: Masterplan Tankpark 2
Client: Margarine factory
Location: Netherlands
Lascon started with the complete set up of the tank park in 3D, including all piping. This involved close collaboration with the customer, but also with the civil contractor, the tank supplier and the E&I contractor. Because so much attention was paid to the preparation, the execution of the project went smoothly and on schedule.
The tank park consists of a new building with a tank plate of 40 tanks (with room for expansion). The building includes the largest part of the valves, the pumps and the MCC area. Striking in the basement is the large manifold where you can walk underneath. From this manifold, the product is pumped from the tanks via a pipe bridge to the processing plant. To save as much product as possible, the pipes are equipped with pigging systems.
What distinguished itself in this project from many other new construction projects is that the civil contractor was ready when Lascon arrived on location. That gave a nicely quiet impression on the construction site, with a good atmosphere. The cooperation with and the expertise of the client also made it a great project that we look back to with pride and satisfaction.
